To: Liz Schroeder - Auroralites Date: Monday, April 26, 1999 Subject: The Fabulous Search Collar Liz, Finally got a chance to use the new collar on my bloodhound, Scout, yesterday morning. Had a search for a missing suicidal female. It was a cloudy night so we had the advantage of some light reflection but were working in a heavy brush area so it was pretty dark. The collar worked wonderfully. Because of the difficult terrain, he stayed about 10-15 feet ahead of me at all times. I could see Scout working ahead of me and not only did his collar illuminate the area around him, it provided enough light for me and the deputy that I had in tow behind me. I just turned my headlamp off. Was wonderful and didn't bother my eyes like the strobe lights. Didn't seem to bother him either and although I intentionally bought his collar to be fairly loose, it didn't get caught up in the heavy brush. Wonderful product Liz and a lifesaver to those of us who expose our dogs to the dangers of working at night. Thanks again and please feel free to share my comments with other potential buyers.
